Try to use `GrSetDriver' or same with an environment variable.
If this does not solve the problem, please ask on the GRX
mailinglist. :-/

BTW: 
- Did you modify `makedefs.grx' to your needs?
- Did you use `make -f makefile.w32' ?
- Did you `SET GRX20DRV=<driver> gw <width> gh <height> nc <colors>'
  where driver is `win32'?
With my last W2000+GRX+GPC experiences, all worked fine
except the GUI.
