I did a port some time ago for Solaris 8 which can be found at
http://math.uwb.edu.pl/ftp/solaris/x86/5.8/

It was quite straightforward to build gpc on Solaris, the only
thing I remember was to take care of proper version of gcc.
The stock gcc in S10 may be too old, not sure.
