Thanks for that. I vaguely recalled you writing something about some 
options to do with prebinding but I couldn't find any message with 
'prebind' in my archive of gpc posts. Is this documented somewhere 
btw? Its not in gpc's PDF help file.

I'm not linking any libraries explicitly (yet); any ones that gpc are 
linking in are done whatever way it does them...
