Quite frankly, this situation hasn't occurred very often yet. Since
we have the gpc-doc list, I suggest you post a short note saying
what you're going to modify and if anyone else is working on the
same things, they will tell you. (Simultaneous changes to different
parts of a file are usually no problem, the patches will apply with
some offset, so the danger is not too big, I think...)

I suppose Peter or me. Well, since Peter is always so busy, probably
me...
